Terms of Service

What the service does, what it does not promise, and how billing works.

What the service does

IT Watch monitors public properties of the domains you configure — TLS certificate expiry, domain registration expiry, HTTP reachability and DNS records — and notifies you through the channels you set up.

It is a monitoring and notification service. It does not renew certificates or domains, change DNS, or take any action on your infrastructure.

What it does not promise

We make a genuine effort to check on schedule and to deliver every alert, but we do not offer an uptime or delivery guarantee, and there is no SLA. Checks depend on networks, third-party registries and email providers we do not control.

Monitoring is a second line of defence, not a substitute for renewing your certificates and domains. You remain responsible for the infrastructure you ask us to watch.

To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss — including revenue lost while a site was down.

Your responsibilities

Only monitor domains you own or are authorised to monitor on a client’s behalf. Do not use the service to probe infrastructure you have no relationship with.

Keep your account credentials to yourself, and keep your alert channels current — an alert delivered to an address you no longer read is the same as no alert.

Do not attempt to use the checking engine as a general-purpose request proxy. Requests are restricted to public addresses and to ports 80 and 443.

Billing

Paid plans are billed in advance, monthly or annually. Annual plans are charged ten months for twelve.

You can cancel at any time, from the billing portal, with no questions asked. Cancellation stops the next renewal; the plan runs to the end of the period you have paid for. We do not prorate refunds for partial periods.

If a subscription lapses, your account reverts to the free plan and any sites beyond that plan are paused rather than deleted. Nothing is destroyed by a downgrade, and re-subscribing restores access to it.

Ending the agreement

You can close your account at any time. We may suspend an account that is being used to attack third-party infrastructure, to send unsolicited mail, or in a way that materially degrades the service for others — and will tell you why.

Changes

If these terms change materially, we will email account holders before the change takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that constitutes acceptance.
